What’s your return policy?

If you don't like our produce, let us know, we'll happily exchange it or refund your money. It's your decision.

Can I find you at any of the local farmer's markets?

Sorry, but no. With such an extensive selection of microgreens (55 and counting), the logistics of bringing enough of each variety would be impossible.

Most farmer's markets also have a "no free samples" policy to protect the food vendors from losing potential sales. We, however, LOVE to give free samples for tasting. You don't need a lot for tasting, but it's the best way for you to ensure the quality of our produce, and decide if the flavour matches your needs.

So where can I find you?

Our shop is located at 1160-A Heron Rd, just west of Bank St in Ottawa's south end. We're open to the public 7 days a week, 365 days per year. You don't have to panic trying to rush out to a market, fight for a parking spot, and get there early enough that the vendor hasn't run out of your favourites. Call ahead, we're happy to answer the phone and let you know if a variety is available. It likely is, anyway!

What if I want to grow my own?

While we're not a training facility, we do sell a great selection of seeds, along with trays, domes, lights and planting medium (fancy dirt). We've got what you're looking for, there's no need to drive all over town, looking for this or that. We even carry food grade Hydrogen Peroxide for sterilizing trays, seeds or work stations. If we don't have what you're looking for, let us know, we'll work on getting it for you.

I'm not sure what varieties I might want...

That's why it's so important to come visit us at the shop. Maybe you'd like to try something new, or double check that selection you had planned on.

If you're juicing or making smoothies, you can ask for advice about nutrients, protein levels or flavours. If you're adding microgreens to a salad, taco, or burger, adding a little sharpness might be the perfect thing. And as a topping for that ultimate "Dagwood" sandwich, there's no better option. Drop by today!

I read somewhere that sprouts can be dangerous. Do I need to worry?

Sprouts and microgreens are two different and distinct types of greens. Sprouts are grown in the dark with lots of water, while most varieties of microgreens are grown under lights with minimal water which makes for a healthier growing environment.

Having a microgreens supplier that has submitted their produce to the Ministry of Agriculture for testing is an extra level of assurance for you and your family.

Can I drop in and wander around?

While we're open every day, acess for the public is for the front of the shop only. There's proprietary information, heavy equipment and stuff with sharp edges in the main growing area that we'd rather you didn't get hurt by. There's still plenty to see from the front orlf the store.
